Freelance Creative Director and studio assistant
I have worked with companies in Nigeria, USA, Kenya, South Africa, Sweden, Germany.
Also, I have been part of the production crew for some independent animation productions, which is where I got my first zeal for going into animation. I was an overseer in a production called "Through my dreaming eyes" which involved Polish, Canadian, American and Kenyan production houses.
I have been part of animation projects with Goethe Institut, Universal Music group, and the pop band N.E.R.D . I have even had the honour of bringing someone a glass of water on the Oprah Winfery show. I know that this might be odd here but for me, it is a validation of the goals I have set for myself, which is to be as much internationally involved as possible. Believe in yourself and one day, you will be the one the water is being passed on to.
I was in charge of research for the maiden edition of the publications, sourcing for seasoned people in the industry who we got on board to jumpstart things
I registered for the BFA in Illustration but dropped out after my junior year to travel the world. (not a crime) LOL. So basically, I do not have any degree in my pocket but that is not what matters in being creative.
What matters is that you can take charge of your life and pursue your passion within the means available to you.
Here am I today. Maybe someday I will go back.. when I am 50.. LOL
