Greetings & WelcomeGet to know more about what we do at Afriilancer
The youth population in Africa is the continent’s greatest asset, with over 60% being under the age of 25, Africa has the world’s youngest population. However, the unemployment rate is currently at 10.5% (International Labor Organization, 2020), despite a steady decline since 2012.
The global gig economy was estimated to be worth $4.5billion as of 2018 (Staffing Industry Analysts, 2018). It is projected to grow up to $7.5billion by 2025. The participation of the African youth population in the gig economy is still relatively low due to the lack of a Pan-African freelancing platform that levels the playing field for new entrants, lowers the barrier to entry, provides support and learning opportunities in local languages, makes receiving payouts easy, and is void of the prejudice and bias that African youths are subjected to on foreign freelancing platforms because of their location.
Afriilancer.com, a brand of The Pan-African Freelancing Co. Inc, was established to provide a platform for the teeming African youth population to get involved and actively participate in the global gig economy by getting trained with in-demand skill sets, equipped with the right tools, get found, and hired for projects globally by employers that need their services. Our platform also serves as a service marketplace where freelancers can offer their services for sale.
We connect employers and freelancers from across the African continent and beyond, and enable them to transact through our safe, secure, and trustworthy platform.
